Janette Manning, Executive Director
and Consultant is a graduate of the University
of the West Indies, Mona. Her Masters thesis
“Phytoplankton as Indicators of Water Quality in
Mangrove Lagoons, Southeast Coast, Jamaica”
evaluated the accuracy of phytoplankton to
measure eutrophication in mangrove lagoons. Her
areas of study also included Environmental
Impact Assessments and the ecology of
ecosystems, with a specialization in Botany. Ms.
Manning has been working within the
environmental field since 1999. Over the past
seven years she has assisted in conducting rapid
ecological surveys and socio- economic
assessments. Since 2004 Ms. Manning has been
working extensively within the Jamaican
Petroleum Industry (in association with DELTA
Consultants) to carry out requisite
environmental work to detect, identify and
manage petroleum product impact. Tasks have
included the installation of groundwater
monitoring wells, borehole soil sampling and
Tank Excavation exercises.
Alexcia Gray is a geologist with a background in environmental consultancy and the upstream oil & gas industry. She has a number of years experience with various aspects of contaminated site remediation, hydrocarbon mapping and exploration, project development and management and has even held roles as a client liaison. Ms. Gray is also proficient in preparing scientific/technical reports and papers as well as delivering stakeholder presentations. Her range of experience has been gained working on projects in Jamaica, the Gulf Coast of the USA and in the United Kingdom. She holds a BSc. in Geology and Electronics from the University of the West Indies and a Master of Science in Geology (specializing in remote sensing and geophysics) from the Stephen F Austin State University.
